Berber – Empire Carpet

Berber Carpet from Empire Today is designed for resilience, which makes it a perfect choice for high-traffic areas and homes with families on the go. Berber has a tight loop construction that gives it extra durability to help minimize footprints and vacuum marks. Empire Today offers a beautiful selection of name-brand Berber Carpet in natural neutrals, earthy tones, and subtly-flecked styles to complement any décor, from rustic to contemporary.

Berber Carpet from Empire Today is a versatile choice for heavy use areas. It is highly resilient and long lasting, less likely to show footprints and vacuum marks. Lastly, our Berber Carpet comes in a wide range of tones and textures.

Empire Today offers five distinct Berber Carpet fiber options for your home decorating convenience. Each fiber works wonderfully with Berber Carpeting’s unique characteristics.

These five options are:

  • Nylon: As a vibrant, colorful fiber that responds well to detailed printing, nylon fiber is a natural choice for Empire Today’s line of Berber Carpets. Durable nylon carpets resist wear and fading in high-traffic areas.
  • Polyester: Polyester is naturally hydrophobic and will hold up well in the face of water spills and other stains. In a process known as “solution dying,” polyester carpets are dyed as their fibers are formed. This makes them a bright, inviting and easy-to-clean fiber option.
  • Olefin/Polypropylene: Well-suited to our short-looped Berber Carpet varieties, olefin/polypropylene is perfect for high-traffic areas and can be installed in a variety of settings. Another solution-dyed fabric, olefin/polypropylene will resist fading and remain bright for years.
  • Triexta: Made from a polymer known as PTT, Triexta is an excellent addition to the Empire Today lineup of Berber Carpets. Triexta is soft and resists fading in sunny rooms. It will also remain elastic and inviting in high-traffic areas and hallways.
  • Wool: Wool’s softness and natural look make it a great choice for short-piled Berber Carpets. Empire Today carpets made from this material have a decadent feel that you will cherish for years.
  • Maintenance Tips

Although our Berber Carpet options are durable and stain-resistant, every Empire Today customer should keep a few easy-to-remember cleaning tips in mind. These are:

  • Vacuum your Berber Carpet twice per week to pick up bits of dirt and debris. Since our Berber Carpeting has a short pile, it responds well to this type of treatment. In particularly high-traffic rooms or corridors, you may need to vacuum every day to keep debris from settling.
  • Deep-clean your carpet at least once every year. This can be accomplished through dry-cleaning or low-moisture steam cleaning.
  • To keep your Empire Carpeting product looking springy, affix coasters to furniture legs. Alternatively, you can shift the position of heavily-used furniture from time to time.
  • Use floor mats to keep dirt from building up near the entrances to rooms that feature Berber Carpeting.
  • Padding

Empire Today offers a range of durable carpet padding options for your home. Our rebond padding can make the short curls of your home’s Berber Carpet feel even more luxurious and inviting. Padding can also soften the impact of high foot traffic on Berber Carpeting’s tight-looped construction and help it last even longer. Depending upon the flooring material that underlies your carpet, padding might substantially reduce your home’s ambient noise levels as well.
